Upgrading between patch releases

Hi,

I feel a bit stupid now. What would be a recommended general way of updating Servicemix from one patch release to another, say 6.1.1 to 6.1.2? I seem unable to find any information on this, maybe it’s just too obvious for everyone else.

I’m not asking for a detailed procedure listing everything I might possibly have to do to get everything running. I’m looking for more of a general idea of where to start at all. Like should I be able to just unpack the patch release on top of the old release and fix issues afterwards? Or do I have to start from scratch with a new installation and repeat any configuration done in the previous instance manually transferring any data?

Best regards,
/Fredrik

Hi Fredrik

we discussed this topic on the Karaf mailing list.

This quick note can provide some ideas:
